The Adjabeng District Court presided over by His Worship Isaac Addo, has adjourned the case involving the two dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale to 16 July 2019.

The adjournment follows a plea made by the state Prosecutor Superintendent Emelia Asante to enable her call her final witness to testify in court.

According to her, she has four witnesses to testify in court and has since been able to call only three witnesses leaving the remaining one.

The court has, therefore, directed that the final witness should be called before 15 July to allow a continuation of the case.

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were arrested and put before the court following the scuffle that erupted on stage between their camps after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year during the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) on 18 May 2019.

Stonebwoy pulled a gun on Shatta Wale and his fans who thronged the podium to, apparently, congratulate the former.

A free-for-all fight broke out on stage messing up the live event.

The organisers, Charterhouse, subsequently banned the two artistes from its events indefinitely, and also stripped them of their awards for that night.
