During his session on the Easter Comedy Show stage, Kenny Blaq was full of praise for Ghanaian rap songs and highlighted how simple the tunes are.
“To me, I feel Ghana rap is the best rap ever. Ghana rap is so simple, just end it with a word.” He stated.
Having offered to give a freestyle, someone suggested he uses Shatta Wale’s hit song ‘Freedom’. The comedian however shot it down.
“Oh that guy is not free; I think that guy has a problem with controversial issues. Shatta Wale in Nigeria, we dey shock. Shatta Wale go waka, you’ll think he’s walking with his twelve disciples”.
The utterance attracted mixed reactions from the audience. He was however quick to salvage the situation and possibly save himself from being called out by the ‘no nonsense’ musician.
“But to me I think the guy is good. Shatta Wale is very good. When you see Shatta Wale, that’s Shatta Wale….” he said.
The Easter Comedy show is an annual event organized by Event Factory which seeks to make Easter a blissful occasion for its audience while promoting Africa’s finest comedians.
