After years of making strives with her charity organization, the model, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Manaye Donkor on July 15, 2016 fed over 450 pupils of Menaye School of Hope in Agona Asafo in the Central Region.

The former beauty pageant with her mum interacted with both staff and pupils during their end of term exams.

Menaye Charity Organization supports underprivileged children in Ghana in the areas of: Education, Health & Girl Child Development.

The Menaye School of Hope was founded on September 7th 2000, on three acres of land in the Central Region of Ghana. The school was established at Agona Asafo, to offer FREE and URBAN QUALITY EDUCATION to children in that rural community.

The aim and objective is to break the cycle of poverty in rural Ghana using education as the platform to advance the hopes and aspirations of these rural children, whom under normal conditions will not have the opportunity to escape poverty.

Agona Asafo in the Central region of Ghana is considered to be one of the most deprived regions in the country with very high poverty and illiteracy rates. Menaye School Of Hope opened with 78 pupils learning in one school block, and now has over 400 pupils in three blocks.

The Administrator noted that due to support and contribution from sponsors, the management has been able to provide the school with a new school bus as a form of transportation to carry the students, especially the younger ones from their homes to the school and rehabilitation of the old school blocks to create a comfortable environment for the children to study while a fence wall around the whole school compound to prevent domestic animals and other intruders from entering the school during and after school.

He further added that a new playing ground with equipment for the nursery and kindergarten students, increment of teacher’s allowances to motivate them and a new washroom structure constructed to encourage cleanliness.
