Head of Communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah, known popularly as Sammy Flex is certain that the fracas between dancehall artiste Stonebwoy and Zylofon Media will be resolved or contracts being terminated.
He said the probability for an artiste and a manager or a record label having issues in showbiz is very high but the only way it can resolved is to sit and talk about it.
“After all if they are not able to talk about the issues or iron out their differences it can lead to just one thing that is termination of contract” he explained.
With the termination of contracts, the Showbiz Agenda host believes it will not be the first to have happened in the history of show business.
He noted that contracts termination happens all over the industry and the parties involved will either be satisfied or not.
Zylofon Media has been in the news for one reason or the other and the latest is the brawl between the media entity and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy who is signed unto their record label.
After the signing of another dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, who calls himself ‘dancehall king’ there have been media reports that Stonehwoy has planned on leaving the label because he was told by the management of the label that he will be the only dancehall artiste to be signed.
Some sections of the media, however, reported that the signing of the two dancehall musicians has brought some kind of tension between Stonebwoy and Zylofon Media whilst some entertainments pundits believe that it was a bad move for 'rivals' (Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale) on the label.
Over the weekend, Over the weekend it was reported that the Dancehall musician Stonebwoy and Zylofon's artist manager, Bulldog, got engaged in an altercation on Saturday night at the Champs Bar in Accra which ended in gunshots being fired.
But in an interview Monday morning on Zylofon FM, Bulldog debunked those reports saying he was rather attacked the Stonebwoy’s team at Champs Bar and not the speculations in the media.
He said, he even got a call from one Chief Abiola, who is known by the Zylofon Media team, who threatened to kill him.
Speaking to GhanaWeb, Sammy Flex said there is claim at Zylofon Media but the only problem they have is the interpretation people are giving to the whole situation.
“We are not seeing it to be any big issue, we are seeing it to be something that can be resolved. The only challenge is the outside and how they what is happening” he stated.
He added that inside Zylofon Media, there is nothing scary but the Zylofon team want to only protect the future.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has apologised to Stonebwoys team for the incidence that occurred over the weekend.
In a tweet Tuesday morning the CEO wrote “I apologize to team @stonebwoyb and all well wishers for the unfortunate ill incident that occurred. The transport manager exercised a discretion characterized by reflex and over exuberance. An act I vehemently condemn and discourage from our society.”
