Female gospel musician, Gifty Osei also known in showbiz as Empress says she’s having a thriving business in the music industry.
Her comment is in sharp contrast with claims by her colleagues that the industry isn’t doing well.
Speaking with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, the Gospel singer noted that though there are setbacks in the industry, She’s hopeful that gospel artistes can still build on their flaws to make the industry better for themselves.
“For me what I see about the job we’re doing is that it’s normal, it just like writing an exam, if you fail to pass just go for re-sit so definitely there are challenges but the industry itself is doing very well.”
When asked if the industry players get what they are entitled, she said “For me I get what I want because for the brand I represent which is the Empress Brand, we don’t settle for just anything… we are into serious business and attach all necessary documents to it.”
She added that “I don’t do it only for corporate bodies but also for churches and individuals who need my services as well… gospel music is a business venture. Apart from undertaking the spiritual side of the gift given to me by God if I don’t attach money to it wouldn’t look presentable so for the business side of my career I don’t joke with it.”
According to her another reason why she is doing very well in the industry is how she packages herself to attract music lovers.
Gifty Osei who is currently one of the key gospel icons in the country was recently honored with a Best Female Gospel Musician award in Italy. She noted that her fourth album will be out in 2017.
