He admitted having once been influenced by this trend but now regrets the shift.
Laryea partly attributes this focus to pastors who often preach prosperity over messages that inspire faith.
He urged gospel musicians to prioritize their spiritual mission rather than aiming for popularity through wealth-centered lyrics.
According to him, this focus distorts gospel music's purpose, creating a culture where people believe God’s priority is their financial success.
