The Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, Dr. Rashid Tanko-Computer, has dismissed a recent poll by Dr. Smart Sarpong as a biased “chop bar analysis.”
Speaking on GHOne TV, he argued the NPP cannot surpass the NDC in parliamentary seats, citing alleged ballot paper irregularities during the 2020 elections.
Tanko labeled Dr. Sarpong an NPP supporter whose findings lack credibility.
The poll, released by Prof. Sarpong of Kumasi Technical University, places NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead with 49.1%, followed by John Mahama at 45.8%.
However, Tanko claimed the research was skewed, involving mostly NPP respondents.
As the December 7 elections near, both major parties endorse polls favoring them while discrediting opposing ones, leaving the final verdict to voters.
