The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee election, has been slated for Saturday, September 1, at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana.
Over 1,000 delegates are expected to converge at the venue to elect regional officers, who would steer the affairs of the Party in the 2020 general election.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Ephraim Nii Tan Sackey, Secretary, NDC Greater Accra Regional Elections Committee, said all the 76 nominees who filed to contest the election had been cleared by the Vetting Committee.
He noted that the elections of the Regional Youth Executive Committee, would take place on Monday, August 27; adding that, they were yet to settle on the venue.
That of the Regional Women's Wing, had been scheduled to take place at Ada on Wednesday, August 29.
Mr Sackey urged all candidates to conduct clean campaigns without attacking each other.
He said the candidates and their supporters must be guided by the fact that, after the elections; "there is something more".
