Outspoken Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has hot back at those who say he is in a contest with his immediate boss, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
Mr Anyidoho who picked his nomination forms week to contest as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the largest opposition party, maintains he is only vying for a position in accordance with the constitution of the party nothing less, nothing more.
“I am not contesting anybody but I am vying for a position. Party first and we are working in the interest of the party”, he revealed on Okay Fm MyNewsGh.com monitored on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Asked if he is not scared he may lose in his bid to become the Chief Scribe of the party and become irrelevant in the future since that will mean he is an ordinary party member, the former Director of Communications at the Presidency said “I am talking with delegates who are very discerning. No insults at all. The delegates will decide at the right time”
He also laughed off claims if he loses he will not be an irrelevant person in the party.
“It is God who decides. I have a clean heart and a clean conscience and it is God who is directing me. God is putting me up for this challenge and delegates will decide.No need to fear delegates but respect delegates, don’t underestimate them because they know what they want. Once you respect them, they know what they want. That is why my message is party first. Let us respect the structures of the party, let us rebuild the party and we shall win 2020”
