Former NDC Ashanti Regional Secretary, Joseph Yamin has accused the party’s vice chairperson, Anita Desoso and Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anydoho of prosecuting a grand agenda to make it impossible for ex President Mahama to come back to lead the NDC in 2020 elections.

According to him, the duo per their recent utterances have amply demonstrated their opposition to the return of the former leader, a situation he describes as very unfortunate.

Mr Yamin who was a deputy Minister of Youth and Sports during the Mahama administration is not the first NDC member to make such an accusation against the two party executives.

Popular Kumasi based NDC serial caller, Frank Appiah aka Appiah Stadium earlier in the week told Kasapa News that he has information that Anita Desoso and Koku Anyidoho have purposed to ruin any presidential ambition of ex President John Mahama.

While Anita Desoso recently blamed the various campaign groups that were formed for Mahama for largely contributing to the party’s defeat in last year’s elections, Koku Anyidoho on the otther hand in an interview granted GHOne TV few days ago, among others said he loved late President Atta Mills but only worked for immediate past President Mahama.”

But speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5FM, Friday, Yamin, slammed Koku Anyidoho for his comments descibing him as an unprincipled person.

“I heard Koku Anyidoho trying to explain his comments on GHOne TV. He claims that as a national executive member he couldn’t have taken sides and said anything that will seem as if he was endorsing ex President Mahama. But he has forgotten that before the 2008 elections, the NDC deputy National Youth Organizer, Barbara Asamoah was the spokesperson for GAME (Get Atta Mills Elected) but that didn’t end her political career.

Koku Anyidoho never saw that as an endorsement of somebody’s candidature, he was happy because he wanted late President Attah Mills to win to become the NDC Flagbearer.

Do you think if he wants ex President Mahama to come back to lead the NDC he’ll say since he’s a national executive he must not endorse anyone’s candidature? or he has suddenly had a change of mind.

He added: Secondly, there’s no competition for him to say that by his comment he’ll endorsing someone or not. The question from Nana Aba Anamoah was not about whether Koku wants Mahama to lead NDC or not, the question was simple…did you love Atta Mills, he was once your President?, he quickly responded…yes, I loved Atta Mills…do you love John Mahama? he answered, I worked for him.

That was bad. Currently there’s no contest, and we don’t have persons who have declared their intention to contest NDC Flagbearership race. Mahama has not said anywhere whether he’ll come back or not, so even if Koku had said he loved Mahama how could that have amounted to an endorsement for him for which reason he couldn’t say same as he said about Mills.

If there is some hatred and bitterness because he was not appointed by ex President Mahama then Koku is wrong, because some of us were not also appointed by late President Mahama.”
