Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho who is aspiring to become the General Secretary of the party has named King Edward of Kumasi-based Hello FM as his coordinator.
“I am appointing you [King Edward] as my Campaign Coordinator in the Ashanti Region”, he revealed during an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com on the station when asked whom he seeks to appoint to be his campaign coordinator.
According to Mr. Koku Anyidoho, who is said to be a strong contender to the incumbent General Secretary of the party, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, his decision to vie for the position is based on experience which he says will guarantee the party victory after 2020 polls.
“I have served NDC in many capacities and want to bring my rich communication skills and experiences on board. ….I will, therefore, need all journalists to support my bid”- the former Communications Director at the presidency said.
In a related development, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia is reported to have asked his closest contender for the chief scribe position, Koku Anyidoho to step down.
The politician from the information gathered has sent some personalities to Koku Anyidoho, the Deputy General Secretary to step down.
According to reports from the grapevine, Mr. Asiedu Nketia has confessed to some individuals that should Koku Anyidoho insist on contesting him, he would be forced to bow out from the race.
