A Kumasi High court has placed injunction on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries at the Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
The development proscribes the party from holding the internal polls in the said constituency.
The petitioners, including Isaac Nimako, and 50 others asked the court to block the party election committee and the Electoral Commission (EC) from holding Saturday’s election.
The plaintiffs have dragged the defendants to court to challenge the illegal removal of names from the constituency album.
This comes on the heels of similar action that happened at the Asante-Akim North Constituency.
Joseph Boakye Danquah is billed to face off with the incumbent Member of Parliament and Deputy Works and Housing Minister Eugene Boakye Antwi.
