Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, the Zug-Raan of Kusaug, has ordered all district assemblies and government departments in the Kusaug Traditional Area to remain open and operational.
This directive follows reports of unauthorized closures of municipal and district offices, particularly in Bawku, Binduri, and Bawku West, amid ongoing ethnic tensions between the Kusasi and Mamprusi groups.
The Zug-Raan emphasized that disruptions to government services are unacceptable and urged that all government workers fulfill their duties without interference.
The call for stability comes as the region continues to grapple with the effects of the long-standing Bawku conflict.
