Head coach of Liberty Professionals Football Club, Reginald Asante has attributed Edwin Tuffour Frimpong’s unsuccessful spell at Kumasi Asante Kotoko to being played out of position.
Asante hinted that the Porcupine Warriors did not know how to use Tuffour that was why they did not get the best out of him.
“Unfortunately, Kotoko didn’t know how to used him (Edwin Tuffour), they played him as a left back player. He is a center back, we will never use him on the left side of defence” Asante stated after the 1-1 draw with Kotoko in midweek.
“He is very comfortable here, he has been here for a while. We natured him very well. He is used to our (Liberty) philosophy. Though he started at Deportivo, it was we who gave him topflight experience in the Premier League,”
Tuffour was one of the seven players who were offloaded by Kumasi Asante Kotoko two weeks ago.
