Accra, Aug. 18, GNA- Kpando Oscar F/C defeated Khalid F/C 2-0 in their Division One League (DOL) match played at Legon, near Accra, on Sunday.
Determined to qualify for the premiership next year, Oscar opened the scores in the sixth minute when a low grounder by centre forward Isaac Oduro beat goalkeeper Mustapha Angbe in goal for Khalid. Not satisfied with the scoreline, Oscar increased the pressure on their opponents and got the second goal through left winger Ben Shilla two minutes later .
Khalid however came into the picture in the second half and earned a penalty in the 75th minute when their left winger Jalilu Issah was brought down in the box but the resultant kick taken by central defender Mutala Mohammed went off target. At Kasoa, local Fauzan beat Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs 3-1 in their match.
