Born in London but qualifies for Ghana through his parents. His mother was a Commonwealth Games bronze medal winner for the African nation in the 4x100m relay.

Kevin joined Yeovil on loan from Bristol City during the February of 2005, before making the deal permanent on transfer deadline day. In doing so, the full back turned down an offer from QPR.
Whilst at City, Kevin's career was temporarily put on hold due to injuries picked up in a car accident. After a long rehabilitation, the defender soon returned to the kind of form that earned him a professional contract at Ashton Gate.
