In the ongoing ambulance trial, the third accused, Richard Jakpa, has revealed that he met Attorney General Godfred Dame on four occasions, all at his cousin Justice Yonny Kulendi’s home, between 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm.
Jakpa claimed these meetings, held in February and July 2022, March 2024, and before the 2023 ruling on the submission of no case, were to discuss his case and seek assurances of his discharge.
Jakpa provided documents to the Attorney General, hoping to prove his innocence.
His revelations prompted extensive questioning from Ato Forson’s lawyers about the Attorney General's alleged attempts to incriminate Forson.
