A Policy analyst with the Integrated Social Development Center (ISODEC), Dr. Steve Manteaw, has said the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagship free SHS program is feasible if continued by successive governments.
The current government launched its flagship education program, Free Senior High School to mark its take-off across the country.
Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Thursday, a Policy analyst at the Integrated Social Development Center (ISODEC), Dr. Steve Manteaw explained that the NPP’s free SHS program is a great initiative which will help less privileged kids, like himself, to enjoy free secondary education.
He, however, stated that although the program was launched by the NPP, the party will not be in power forever and for the program to run efficiently and effectively it will be proper for successive governments to eschew partisan politics and continue the program.
He also urged corporate bodies to channel its corporate social responsibility programs towards the government’s free SHS policy.
