An Accra High Court has ruled that it lacks jurisdiction over alleged misconduct by Attorney General Godfred Dame in the controversial ambulance procurement case.
Presiding Judge Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe directed the applicants to the General Legal Council (GLC), the proper body for investigating legal ethics.
The court dismissed Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson’s application for a mistrial and other motions filed by the first accused and Richard Jakpa.
Despite acknowledging the impropriety of Dame's conversation with Jakpa during the trial, the judge advised Dame to recuse himself to maintain public confidence in the judiciary.
