The Minister of Education Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has revealed that government will soon sign a performance contract with heads of Senior High Schools to ensure high standards and improvement in academic performance of students.
Addressing some selected heads of Senior High Schools in Accra on Tuesday, 27 March 2018, Dr Prempeh noted that the performance contract will be used to determine if a headmaster will be made to stay or transferred.
According to him, government will do its part to ensure that the needs and wants of teachers are met.
He cautioned that the ministry will not countenance any untoward behaviour from heads of senior high schools that will mar the academic performance of students.
