Black Stars coach, Charles Akonnor will have to rely on some local-based players in his squad for the South Africa game.
Akonnor named six local-based players in a 32-man provisional squad for the doubleheader.
The Black Stars will be without Andy Yiadom (Reading), Baba Abdul Rahman (Reading), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace), Daniel Kofi Kyereh (St. Pauli), and Braydon Manu for the South Africa game due to COVID-19.
The players will be missing the game due to quarantine regulations in the United Kingdom and Germany.
Akonnor will be looking to hand debut appearances for some of the locally-based players who made the trip to South Africa.
Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnie, Fatawu Mohammed, Samuel Abbey-Quarshie, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Philemon Baffour, and Richard Attah were not named in the 18-man squad for the game against Ethiopia on Friday.
The six players could be named on the bench for the South Africa game with a possible starting berth for some players.
