Former Ghanaian defender Dan Quaye revealed he retired prematurely due to the indiscipline of younger players.

The 43-year-old, who ended his career at Great Olympics in 2017, cited frustration with the attitudes of teammates unwilling to accept guidance.

Quaye, known for his success with Hearts of Oak, including winning the CAF Champions League in 2000, explained that the behavior of these players pushed him to step away to avoid acting unprofessionally.

He also highlighted Sulley Muntari's departure from Hearts as a related example. Quaye played for Ghana in the 2006 World Cup.
