Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif Friday paid a courtesy call on Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II while on a working visit to Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
Mr Ussif was accompanied to the Manhyia Palace by the Director-General of National Sports Authority, Prof Peter Twumasi.
He sought blessings from the respected king while Otumfuo asked him to continue serving the country diligently.
The Minister was in Kumasi for an inspection of the Baba Yara Stadium. The stadium has been closed since last year due to renovation works.
The renovation is almost done with Kotoko expected to use the stadium for the coming season which starts in October.
The whole of last season Kotoko used two different stadiums as their home due to the unavailability of the Baba Yara Stadium.
They first chose Accra Sports Stadium but relocated to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium for the second round.
