The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) is joining the indefinite strike initiated by the Trades Union Congress (TUC) starting July 15.
This strike follows the National Pensions Regulatory Authority's (NPRA) approval for SSNIT to sell part of its stake in certain facilities, despite prior orders to halt the process.
TUC Secretary General Dr. Yaw Baah expressed confusion over the NPRA's decision, stating that all workers in Ghana should refrain from work until SSNIT publicly cancels the share sale.
CLOGSAG confirmed its participation in the strike through a statement by Press Secretary Isaac Bampo Addo.
