Organized Labour in Ghana plans proceed with a nationwide strike today to protest SSNIT's attempt to sell its 60% shares in four hotels.
Although SSNIT terminated the sale process after Rock City Hotel withdrew its bid, Organised Labour remains firm in its strike decision.
Dr. Eliasu Mumuni, National Secretary of UTAG, expressed disappointment over SSNIT's actions, citing a breach of trust.
Despite SSNIT's public statement halting the sale, Labour insists on proceeding with the strike and calls for a restructuring of the SSNIT board to replace current members with new ones.
