The Electoral Commission (EC) has destroyed excess electoral materials, including unused ballot papers and printing plates, for the Ahafo and Volta Regions.
The materials were burned on November 16, 2024, in the presence of political party representatives, security agencies, and the National Intelligence Bureau.
The Commission stated that additional ballots with serial number issues will be destroyed soon, with stakeholders notified to observe the process.
A certificate confirming the destruction was issued to validate the exercise.
