Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to revive the constitutional review process if re-elected, focusing on the number of Supreme Court justices.
Mahama aims to involve the public in deciding whether to retain, reduce, or increase the current 15 justices.
He criticized Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo's recommendation to appoint five additional justices, asserting that such decisions should come from the president based on Judicial Council advice.
Mahama emphasized the importance of adhering to established protocols and expressed his intention to resurrect the constitutional review process to address these issues with public input.
