The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of planning to incite chaos in the Ashanti Region before the 2024 elections.
At a press conference in Accra, NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye alleged that the NDC, led by retired COP Kofi Boakye, is training thugs under the guise of private security in areas like Obuasi East to disrupt the electoral process.
He also claimed the NDC held a secret meeting on November 11, 2024, to recruit members into its “Eagle Force Vigilante Group” to intimidate voters.
The NPP denied allegations of collaborating with Brigadier General Michael Opoku to rig the polls, describing the claims as baseless and lacking evidence.
