North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, claims Rock City Hotel, owned by Minister Bryan Acheampong, should have been disqualified from bidding for a 60% stake in four SSNIT hotels due to lack of a tax clearance certificate.
Ablakwa stated that Rock City filed its 2022 tax returns only in May 2024, implying no valid certificate during the March 2022 bid.
He also highlighted the hotel's significant losses, questioning its financial viability. Bryan Acheampong denied these claims, insisting the hotel is profitable.
Ablakwa presented evidence to support his allegations, awaiting further investigation by CHRAJ.
