Stop dragging Manhyia and Otumfuo into your ‘dirty’ NPP politics - Wontumi warned

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has been sternly warned against trying to drag Manhyia which is the seat of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II into his dirty style of politicking.

Policy analyst and political social commentator, Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansah who gave the warning to Wontumi observed that there have been several attempts by the NPP executive to take politics into the doorstep of the Asante monarch, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

“Wontumi should know that he cannot draw Manhyia Palace into his usual style of politicking neither can he compare NPP to the Asante Kingdom”, Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansah pointed out during panel discussion monitored by MyNewsGh.com on Nhyira FM morning show.

“I want to tell Wontumi and cohorts of NPP that their diabolic moves to win sympathy votes from the people in Ashanti Region are exposed now”, the 2016 Progressive People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East told host, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

According to the outspoken (PPP) communicator, Manhyia Palace serves as a city for Asanteman not for any political party therefore political actors should be wary of their comments especially to communicators of NPP in the region.

Earlier, the NPP Regional Chair, who also describes himself as Governor of the Ashanti had said, people in the region are in one spirit because of the Golden Stool, Kotoko Football Club and NPP party.

“If you come to Ashanti Regional, we are one because of these three things. And if you don’t have this, you cannot be a supporter of NPP”, according to the NPP’s Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
