Nana Akomea, Vice Chairman of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign, has announced the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) goal of securing 75% of votes in the Ashanti Region for the upcoming election.
Speaking on GHOne TV, Akomea highlighted Dr. Bawumia's intensive 15-day campaign in the region, aiming to build strong support by visiting multiple constituencies.
Akomea expressed confidence in reaching this target, which he says was also achieved in 2016.
Additionally, Akomea addressed concerns about Ghana's judiciary, citing low public trust due to perceived delays in justice. He referenced findings from the “Mo Ibrahim” report and Anas Aremeyaw Anas' investigative work, which point to a decade-long decline in judicial confidence.
Akomea's remarks emphasize the judiciary's challenges in restoring public trust.
