Environmental journalist Erastus Asare Donkor and three colleagues were ambushed by armed illegal miners while reporting on galamsey in the Ashanti Region over two weeks ago.
Despite reporting the incident to local police, investigations have been slow, with no updates on the case or the recovery of stolen equipment, including a drone and tablets.
Frustrated by the lack of progress, Erastus revealed that the perpetrators were granted bail, and he criticized the police's failure to comment on the situation, highlighting concerns about justice in Ghana's fight against illegal mining.
