Actress Vicky Zugah isn’t totally enthused with the free SHS policy.
The Free Senior High School policy is a Government of Ghana initiative introduced by the President Nana Akufo-Addo administration in September 2017 to ensure education is accessible to all qualified students.
The program which is a reform under President Akufo Addo’s ambitious overhaul of Ghana’s entire education system covers fees, course books and uniforms for each child.
The pretty actress recently sent her daughter off to senior high school and she quizzed what is really “free” about it.
According to her, the amount of money she spent buying things caused her to question what was free about the policy.
She believes only tuition should be tagged as free. Vicky Zugah aired her sentiments when she spoke with Zion Felix in the Eastern Region where she made a donation to mark her birthday.
