Dr. Tony Aidoo, a senior NDC figure, has labeled President Nana Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s “greatest nightmare,” criticizing his governance and economic management.
Speaking on Angel TV, he highlighted the alleged deterioration across economic sectors and accused Akufo-Addo of compromising state institutions and media independence to favor the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He claimed the President’s eight-year tenure left Ghana’s economy in shambles, with key indicators in decline. According to Dr. Aidoo, state apparatus, from the Electoral Commission to the Supreme Court, have been staffed with NPP loyalists, undermining constitutional independence.
Dr. Aidoo's remarks reflect growing tensions as the 2024 elections approach, with criticism intensifying against the outgoing administration.
