Dr. Sharif Mahmud Khalid, an NDC member, has called for the resignation of Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, over the sale of 60% of SSNIT’s stake in four hotels to Acheampong's Rock City Hotel.
In an interview on The Big Issue, Dr. Khalid criticized the lack of transparency and potential conflicts of interest in the deal, describing it as "insider trading."
He questioned Rock City’s lack of experience in acquisitions and accused the government of favoritism, calling for Acheampong to resign from his cabinet position to avoid further contaminating the transaction.
