But for our vigilance, Volta and Ahafo regions would’ve recorded massive rejected ballots – Dr Omane Boamah
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has claimed credit for averting potential widespread rejected ballots in the Volta and Ahafo regions ahead of Ghana's December 7 elections.
Dr. Omane Boamah, NDC's Director for Elections and IT, revealed via social media that their vigilance through the #EAGLEEYES initiative identified errors in ballot serialisation, prompting the Electoral Commission (EC) to recall and reprint the affected ballots.
The EC admitted to printing issues and reassigned the task to a new company. Dr. Boamah emphasized that elections are a process, not just a polling day event, urging continued scrutiny of the EC and the NPP.
